RFkill is a subsystem of the linux kernel that can enable and disable wireless devices. RFkill can also list if a device is soft-blocked or hard-blocked.

Enabling Wireless Devices

First, see if devices are soft-blocked or hard-blocked

rfkill list

If your devices say they are soft-blocked, type

rfkill unblock wifi

If you devices say they are hard-blocked, you will need to enable your wireless card usually by a button or switch on your computer.

Disabling Wireless Devices

To disable wireless devices, type

rfkill block wifi

Enabling Bluetooth

To enable Bluetooth, type

rfkill unblock bluetooth
