Installation

Installing Gnome on a Void-Linux System is very easy:

xbps-install -S gnome

Once the installation has finished, you have to enable several services to start it properly:

ln -sr /etc/sv/{gdm,dbus} /var/service

Optional, you also can enable the following services

ln -sr /etc/sv/NetworkManager /var/service # Make sure other Networkmanagers such as dhcpcd or wicd are disabled!
ln -sr /etc/sv/avahi-daemon /var/service # zeroconf support
ln -sr /etc/sv/bluetoothd /var/service # Bluetooth Support
ln -sr /etc/sv/cupsd /var/service # Printer support
