Talk:Wayland
Usefulness of this page
I could be wrong, but the information in this page seems too generic? Maybe it's time to either improve it or remove it. --Tactica (talk) 16:38, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for all the excellent work you have done on many Wiki pages, @Tactica. This Wayland page is a pretty useful introductory page, in my impression, at the moment: for example, I wouldn't have known that only certain lesser known browsers (Uzbl, Xombrero, Midori) and certain terminal emulators are native to Wayland. I agree that the page could use some improvements, for example: a) links to Wayland, and to Weston, if there were such a Void Wiki page; and b) perhaps the info is outdated. Can anyone confirm? --GreattoBeGrateful (talk) 10:23, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
Yes, i would keep the page but add a primer explaining how to use or activate wayland in the first place. Which packages have to be installed, which configuration changed issued (today i installed sway and got lost, starting sway gives an error, what's next?). --Emdete (talk) 07:04, 31 January 2018 (UTC)
